Philosophy of Education

Mission Statement

At Little Explorers Academy and Explorers Christian Academy, we provide a loving, faith-filled environment where children learn through play, exploration, and academics — grounded in faith in Jesus Christ and a culture of love and respect for all.

Our Core Values

Faith

We root everything we do in a relationship with Jesus Christ, helping children develop a personal faith foundation through age-appropriate Bible teaching, prayer, and worship.

"Train up a child in the way he should go..." (Proverbs 22:6)

Love

We treat every child, family, and staff member with genuine care and compassion, reflecting Christ's love in our words and actions.

"Love one another as I have loved you." (John 13:34)

Respect

We honor the worth of every person — children, families, teachers, and one another — fostering kindness, good manners, and consideration for others.

"Honor one another above yourselves." (Romans 12:10)

Integrity

We model honesty and truthfulness in all we do, teaching children to do what's right even when no one is watching.

"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely." (Proverbs 10:9)

Excellence

We pursue high standards in teaching, care, and character, encouraging children to do their best as an act of worship.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." (Colossians 3:23)

Community

We build a family-like environment where children, parents, and staff support and encourage one another, growing together in faith and learning.

"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." (Hebrews 10:24)

Statement of Faith – Eight Core Affirmations

Little Explorers Christian Academy/Explorers Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith affirms the following core doctrines, each supported by scriptural reference:

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, given by His Spirit to teach, guide, and correct us. It is true, trustworthy, and without error.

2 Timothy 3:16

GOD

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:4–7

JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and Fully Man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return in power and glory.

1 Corinthians 15:3

1 Peter 2:21-24, and John 3:16

SALVATION

We believe that all people are sinful and separated from God, and that Salvation is only possible through Faith in Jesus Christ, brought by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 3:21–30; Galatians 4:4–7

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that through Christ’s death on the cross, God provides healing for our bodies, minds, and spirits when we pray in faith.

Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24

James 5:14–16

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer, guiding, empowering, and gifting them to serve God and others according to His Will.

John 14:16; Acts 1:5, 2:2-4; 1Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:22-23

RESURRECTION

We believe that all people will be resurrected: those who have trusted in Jesus will enjoy Eternal Life with God, and those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.

John 5:24, 28–29

THE CHURCH

We believe all believers are united as one body in Jesus Christ. We seek to grow together spiritually, becoming more like Christ, who is the Head of the Church.

Ephesians 4:15–16
